As part of his role with the Southern Local Health District, Michael worked closely with NSW Health in developing policy and guidelines in relation to obstetric and gynaecological matters. In his spare time, Michael also continues to teach young medical professionals at the Australian National University Medical School as a lecturer. Michael has been a vocal advocate for improvements to accident & emergency, critical care and perioperative services in the Eurobodalla, as well as for the delivery of a single new level four regional hospital for the region.
